Phalloidin-Based Actin Staining Reagent for Expansion Microscopy


This high-performance phalloidin-based reagent is specifically optimized for visualizing F-actin in Expansion Microscopy (ExM). Unlike conventional stains, it is designed for compatibility with grafting approaches, allowing covalent attachment of actin filaments to the hydrogel matrix during gelation. This ensures exceptional signal retention through digestion and expansion, while enabling flexible post-gelation staining strategies for sharper, more consistent imaging of the actin cytoskeleton.

The reagent is available in two convenient sizes:

  • Small – sufficient for up to 100 reactions
  • Large – sufficient for up to 300 reactions

Q: Does Chrometra Scientific Actin ExM also stain G-actin?
A: No. Chrometra Scientific Actin ExM reagents are designed to bind with high specificity to F-actin, the filamentous, polymerized form of actin. They do not bind to G-actin (monomeric actin), ensuring that the staining highlights only the organized actin cytoskeleton and provides clear, filament-resolved images in Expansion Microscopy.
