Acrylink PEG NHS is a PEG-containing anchoring reagent for expansion microscopy, combining amine-reactive NHS ester chemistry with a polymerisable group. Its polyethylene glycol (PEG) backbone is designed to improve aqueous solubility, providing an alternative to conventional AcX-type linkers when solubility is an important consideration.
The NHS ester couples to primary amines on proteins, antibodies and other suitable biomolecules. During gelation, the polymerisable group incorporates the modified targets into the hydrogel, helping retain them through subsequent sample processing.
Acrylink PEG NHS is used before gelation to introduce hydrogel-anchoring functionality into amine-containing targets.
