Acrylink Biotin combines biomolecule anchoring with biotin tagging for subsequent streptavidin-based detection in expansion microscopy.
The reagent brings together three functions: an active ester for coupling to primary amines, a polymerisable group for hydrogel incorporation, and a biotin tag for detection. Suitable targets include proteins, antibodies and nucleic acids functionalised with primary amines.
This design allows targets to be anchored before gelation and the retained biotin tags to be detected after expansion. Fluorescent streptavidin conjugates provide flexibility in choosing a detection channel suited to the imaging setup and other labels in the experiment.
