Actin ExM Post is a phalloidin-based reagent for F-actin labelling with fluorescent detection after gelation in expansion microscopy. It separates actin targeting from the introduction of the fluorescent label.
The actin-targeting reagent is applied before gelation, introducing a reactive handle for subsequent labelling with a compatible fluorescent reagent. Unlike direct fluorescent staining before gelation, this approach allows fluorescence to be introduced after gelation and sample processing, avoiding exposure of the fluorescent label to those earlier steps.
This workflow gives researchers flexibility in the timing of fluorescent detection while revealing actin filament organisation in expanded samples.
Available sizes
• Small (S): up to 100 staining reactions
• Large (L): up to 300 staining reactions
The number of reactions depends on the sample size and staining conditions.
