Acrylink NHS

Acrylink NHS is an amine-reactive anchoring reagent for expansion microscopy, chemically equivalent to Acryloyl-X, SE (AcX). It connects proteins, antibodies and other primary-amine-containing biomolecules to the hydrogel, supporting their retention during sample processing.

The reagent combines an NHS ester for covalent coupling to primary amines with a polymerisable group for incorporation into the gel. This provides the link between biomolecules and the surrounding polymer network during gelation.

Applied before gelation, Acrylink NHS is suited to workflows requiring AcX-type anchoring chemistry. It is used as a general linker in Chrometra’s membrane, lectin and tubulin expansion microscopy protocols.
